Hearts Across America Tour Brings Cardiology News to Your Doorstep

In 2011 Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. launched Hearts Across America, and delivered important information about canine heart health to more than 2,000 veterinarians across the nation. This year, the tour is back and coming to a city near you.
Starting in January 2012 resident cardiologists Dr. Andrew Beardow and Dr. Lori Drourr will be hitting the pavement, bringing RACE approved cardiology seminars to locations from coast to coast

The dinner meeting covers important information about canine heart disease, including:

  • The latest information about the ACVIM grading system
  • Discussion regarding the challenges of diagnosing canine heart failure
  • Important signs to look for when diagnosing cases presented in your clinic
  • Review of the ACVIM consensus panel recommendations for the treatment of congestive heart failure

Cardiac Education Group Adds New Online Resources

The Cardiac Education Group, a nonprofit group of board-certified veterinary cardiologists from both academia and private practice that offers independent recommendations for the evaluation and treatment of canine and feline heart disease, has recently added a series of new case studies.
